Privacy policy
This describes the app’s current data handling. Last updated 2 November 2026.
Account data
Firebase Authentication processes sign-in information such as your email address, display name and authentication identifiers. Gainbud stores your preferences, watchlist, price alerts, conversations and research records under your account identifier in Cloud Firestore.
Research processing
Your question, relevant conversation context, selected asset, display name and research preferences can be processed by the external AI services used to generate the response. Public market-data sources receive the queries needed to retrieve observations. Avoid submitting private financial credentials, bank details or sensitive documents.
Background jobs and trial
The server stores research inputs, source observations and completed stages so a job can continue after you close the app. Vercel managed workflow infrastructure queues processing; private Firestore records contain saved findings. An immutable timestamp records the start of your one-time trial. Administrative site content is public; your private research is not published as a banner.
Billing and private feedback
When you choose to pay, Razorpay handles payment details through its checkout. Gainbud stores your account identifier, plan, amount, currency, order/payment references, verified payment state, paid-access dates and usage counters. Full payment-card details are not stored by Gainbud. Private feedback stores the subject, category, message, account name/email and replies from authorised administrators. Published journal posts and enabled announcements are public; private feedback is not.
Device storage
The app caches account-scoped preferences and records in local browser storage and uses an authentication cookie to access protected server endpoints. Push subscriptions identify a connected browser device and are stored in your account when you enable notifications.
Notifications
Push messages may show an asset name, threshold or report subject on your lock screen. You choose whether to permit notifications. You can revoke browser permission; connected device records are limited to four devices. Email and SMS alerts are not enabled in the current release.
Providers and links
The service uses Firebase/Google infrastructure, Vercel hosting, external AI processing and public market/news services. Requests can be processed outside your country. News images and issuer logos may be loaded from their publishers’ hosts, which receive ordinary network request information. External sites have separate policies.
Retention and controls
Saved research, messages and preferences remain associated with your account until removed. The report library shows recent reports; this display limit does not automatically delete individual job records. Browser-cached copies can remain until site storage is cleared. Backend runtime audit storage is temporary. Self-service full account erasure is not yet available.
Security
Account rules restrict normal access to the signed-in owner. Server credentials are kept outside browser bundles. These controls reduce risk but do not establish a guarantee of perfect security.
